The Mala Majo Festival and Cultural Tour includes opportunities to join together in a shared cultural experience.
The Cultural Tour
Drumming and dance students from all the over the world are welcome to join our three-week program. With daily classes taught by master drummers, dancers, percussionists, and music teachers from Ghana, West Africa. Students will be immersed in learning all elements of the rhythms. Learning to drum, dance, and sing a variety of songs from Ghana and neighbouring West African countries. A unique blend of ancient and contemporary grooves that are part of everyday ceremony and customs across Ghana will be learned.
The Mala Majo Festival
Mala Majo Music and Dance Festival was established by Fred Nii Addo (ONE SPIRIT AFRICA) in 2016. Students are provided with the opportunity to rehearse with local drummers and dancers to perform at the festival.
